"I did find once when I was tripping I did enter fairyland and i though Oh thats fairyland i understand that now."

Hovan, Hovan Gorry og O
Gorry og, O, Gorry og O
Hovan, Hovan Gorry og O
I left my baby lying there

I saw the trail of the wee brown otter
Otter’s trail, otter’s trail
I saw the trail of the wee brown otter
But ne’er a trace o’ my baby, O!

Hovan, Hovan Gorry og O
Gorry og, O, Gorry og O
Hovan, Hovan Gorry og O
I left my baby lying there

I saw the trail of the swan on the lake
Swan on the lake, swan on the lake
I saw the trail of the swan on the lake
But not the trail of baby, O!

Hovan, Hovan Gorry og O
Gorry og, O, Gorry og O
Hovan, Hovan Gorry og O

"Nowadays nobody talks about faerys  (I do) When I first came to Mull when it was still gaelic speaking there where stories at phennygheal of Anne Kennedy who saw the faeries up at the big house one day and people just accepted that (And at ardtun the faery came out the loch, that was at Ardtun) So theres lots of those stories and at one point they were a natural part of the world here but its been, Commodified."

"But a different World, Douglas and not so long ago."

"We shared a house with the cattle eh, so it was one button bed and we had to shoo the cow in there that was one half the house so you slept with cows and everything eh (And the hens)"

"IN Wales, on the coast I think North Wales , and it was a small not very spectacular village and it had all been Gaelic speaking and now there was a wave of holiday homes all taking over and not only were they afraid of not having anywhere to live but they realised their whole culture was going and its because commodity culture rules and that’s the , its ruthless its not interested in people its not homes anymore its just something you can make money on.

And the one that really gets me (Is this being recorded?) somebody can go to the bank and get a mortgage to get a house then rent it to somebody at more than the mortgage costs. Considerably more than the mortgage costs and when things all go skey whiff they decide they have to put up the rent. And you think well why don’t they give a decent mortgage to the person going into the place in the first place. It would be cheaper and the whole thing is just a big rip off."

"The whole culture is embodied in the language, so for instance Chrissy burg was Chrissy of burg, burg was the place that Chrissy was part of. But now its who owns burg or who owns something else. It’s a totally different attitude to the land. And again, also I suppose the little people or the faery folk and all that where part of the fact that you were part of a mystery."

"All the solutions and potential are within us."

"The power of thought is our connection to consciousness and the universe is the ultimate all energetic god of everything the provider. The heart mind is our intuitive source for living in the true nature of being and the mind is only a tool that we can use. It is not meant to use us."
